Author of more than thirty books about mind, body, and spirit issues as well as other New Age topics, Doreen Virtue is a spiritual educator who helps people tap into their innate psychic abilities and access the realms of non-ordinary reality.
Doreen Virtue's Professional Credentials
As a child, Virtue had a profound psychic gift and readily conversed with angels. Ultimately denying her abilities due to a lack of mature understanding, Virtue continued to pursue her professional life as a psychologist.
With three degrees in counseling psychology — including a PhD — Virtue originally specialized in treating women's psychological issues. She held various administrative positions at two all-women psychiatric hospitals and directed an outpatient drug and alcohol abuse center for adolescents.

As Virtue's life progressed, she would receive subtle divine guidance to become a spiritual teacher, advice she was all too quick to ignore. However, on July 15, 1995, an angel came to her with an important warning about a carjacking.
Again, Virtue did not heed the information and was physically accosted by two armed men. The angel never abandoned Virtue and gave clear, specific instruction to scream very loudly. Passersby came to her rescue and the attackers fled. Since that day, Virtue began to tap into her psychic abilities once more.
Doreen Virtue and Working with Angels
Virtue has been committed to a daily practice of working with the angels and archangels like St. Michael. She reexamined her beliefs in western psychology and spirituality and viewed her work from a whole new perspective.
Virtue's profession and methods of treatment evolved into what is now trademarked as "Angel Therapy©." By working with the angelic realm to assist clients, she was able to utilize an insightful resource which propelled therapy into a more advanced level.
Publications by Doreen Virtue
Dr. Virtue eventually pursued an independent quest to teach others around the globe about angels and their service to humanity. She's written numerous books not only on angels but on topics such as fairies, ascended masters, chakras, and crystal and indigo children.
Virtue's primary publisher, Hay House, has assisted her with the creation of over eighty products including books in English and Spanish, oracle card decks, CDs, gift sets, and greeting cards.
Doreen Virtue Workshops and Appearances
Virtue hosts national and international events to deliver participants the information they need to begin working with angels and other spiritual support systems. Two primary workshops include the Angel Therapy Practitioner© course and a class on mediumship.
Virtue also writes routinely for several magazines and newspapers like Woman's World. Frequently a guest on talk shows, she's been featured on Oprah, Good Morning America, and The View with Barbara Walters.
